Daniel Metzger

Short Profile

Since October 2019, Daniel is an external doctoral candidate at the Maritime & Logistics Department. He researches in the field of green shipping with a focus on financial and policy aspects. Furthermore, the link between green shipping and cyber security is considered in his research.

The first paper on the topic was already published during Daniel’s Master studies at ÑÇÖÞÌìÌø£Àû in the MSc – Global Management and Governance program. While doing his Masters, he worked in the auditing and consulting industry. Beforehand, he completed a dual Bachelor program in Business Informatics at the Universtiy of Applied Sciences Mittelhessen. During this program he worked for an SME in the service sector.

Currently, Daniel works as an analyst for alternative investments for Aquila Capital. Prof. Dr Orestis Schinas, ÑÇÖÞÌìÌø£Àû, and Prof. Dr. Gary S. Schaal (Helmut Schmidt University, Hamburg) are his supervisors.
